About Me

My name’s Amanda and I am the face behind “I’m With Phyllis” … the blog about everything. I know that every site on how to create a successful blog will tell me that creating a blog about everything is a bad idea – better to be focused on one thing … to find my niche. The thing for me is that I’m not focused and I don’t yet have a niche, and pretending otherwise just isn’t me.

So, who the heck is Phyllis anyway? In reading this delightful cookbook, I came across a delightful quote attributed to someone named Phyllis. Phyllis knows what she is talking about, as do all of the other ladies in the book … they’re about being real, being less complicated and about creating all-around better products in the kitchen (and let’s face it, the kitchen is the key to any girl’s heart, including this one). This is what I want to apply to the rest of my life: be real, be authentic. Newer doesn’t always mean better, all that glitters isn’t gold and all that … that’s where I’m trying to go with my life these days.

And that’s why I don’t have a niche, and I don’t want to pretend to be something I’m not to stuff myself into one. This is me: the good, the bad and the utterly ridiculous. I hope you enjoy I’m With Phyllis!
